Hi friends,

A few weeks ago I discovered the most amazing allergy friendly bakery in Geneva, Illinois. Located on the corner of Third and Franklin Street, is Sweet Natalie’s. When walking into Sweet Natalie’s, customers are greeted by welcoming and friendly faces. The vibe in this bakery is nothing but warm and inviting. The gals who work here are nothing less than patient, as I struggle to decide which mouth watering treats to leave with.

Just how allergy friendly is Sweet Natalie’s? Sweet Natalie’s is a “dedicated gluten free bakery”. They also specialize “in Paleo, sugar free, low carb, vegan, egg free, dairy free, yeast free, grain free, peanut free and tree nut free dessert options”. I don’t know about you, but I think that’s pretty amazing. Not many bakeries have a kitchen devoted to allergy friendly treats.

Below are only a handful of the tasty treats that Sweet Natalie’s has to offer. My favorite are the Campfire Bars from this section. They are HEAVENLY! In my opinion, they are better than s’mores.

Sweet Natalie’s, home to “Pinkies” is the world’s best gluten free dupe for a sno ball.  If you think the Hostess sno balls are delicious, wait until you get your hands on the Pinkie. These homemade desserts not only taste better, but are three times the size and have more flavor. Each bite of this tasty treat is better and better!

A few of my other favorites are the Millionaire bar (triangle chocolate treat on the left) and the Sour Cherry Pie Bar (middle).

If you like less chocolate-y things, the Apple Pie Bars (middle) are FANTASTIC!!

Whoever thought of these cute and clever ways to display these GF (gluten free)  products is a genius! This is much more appealing than having these on a tray or in a box on a shelf.

My favorite part about Sweet Natalie’s is how involved they are in the community. They have a dedicated section to informing residence of upcoming events, new businesses and community information. Sweet Natalie’s goes above and beyond being the typical business. They welcome people into their store, while supporting and encouraging other businesses in the area.

What I love about Sweet Natalie’s is the fact that they are a dedicated gluten free bakery. I have a gluten allergy and have been gluten free for seven years. The past seven years, I have found it to be quite difficult to find dessert options that I actually like and would like to eat again. I don’t know what it is about gluten free baking, but something about it is difficult. Most of the gluten free treats that I have tried from various shops have either been dry, hard, crumbly or tasteless. None of those things are my idea of a sweet treat. At Sweet Natalie’s I can confidently say that their gluten free products are amazing. They are baked to perfection and make me want to come back for more. I have never found that at a gluten free bakery before.

Next time you’re in downtown Geneva, I highly recommend stopping by Sweet Natalie’s and picking up one of their many desserts to try. Believe me, you won’t regret it!

Until next time. Xx
