A Recap Of Last Week:
Last week was absolutely wonderful! It was peaceful, productive, and equal parts challenging. I finished a big work task two days early which I am incredibly proud of and managed to outline this upcoming week. The next aspect of my tasks are more collaborative. My co-worker and I have found a new system to stay organized and bounce ideas off of each other. I think this week we’ll be seeing more of our ideas and hard work come to life, which is exciting!
A Recap Of The Weekend:
Saturday Mom and I went to our new favorite ice cream/dessert spot at Four Brothers Chocolate. Today Mom, Aunt Beth, and I (we’re all fully vaccinated) went to check out the new Brewpoint Oak Park location. It had been ages since I’ve gathered in a coffee shop with loved ones and the experience was more peaceful than I was expecting. I appreciated the safety precautions of Brewpoint and their priority to keeping their customers safe and compliant with regulations allowed me to focus on the conversation and creating memories instead of germs and people around. Post-coffee catch-up, Mom and I went to one of our favorite Antique shops. I found a lovely candle holder (my latest obsession) and a set of book ends. Mom found a beautiful trellis for the garden.
Looking To The Week Ahead:
As we enter a new week AND a new month, I encourage you to stop and reflect. You can write this down on a piece of paper, use these as discussion points with friends/family/loved ones, or think on these independently or with your therapist. I’m trying to get better at carving out intentional space each week and month to pause and think about what worked, what didn’t, and set intentions for the days ahead.
This Week’s Intention/Mantra/Encouragement:
It’s okay if I things don’t go exactly as planned.
Challenge:
Breathe through the unexpected and meet it with grace.
