The Secret To Having The Best Wine Night

The Secret To Having The Best Wine Night

Phil and I were at a dinner party a few weeks ago and the host shared how he remembers his first bottle of wine. While it was not expensive or of high caliber, to this day he can recall the moment the wine touched his lips and the aroma from the bottle. The moral of his story was not about the power of the alcohol, but rather who we share a bottle with and the experience. I love hearing his stories about previous dinner parties he has hosted, the places he has traveled to for tastings, and everything in-between. After learning about his latest trip to France, the stories reminded me of a shoot Phil and I coordinated a while back for a magazine where we set out to create a moment that could someday be a dinner party story.

Build Community Over Brunch + Avocado Toast Recipe | In The Kitchen With Sauté + Rose

Thank u, next slice of toast I’m sharing Stephen’s recipe for “mouth-watering, swoon-worthy, tastebuds are having a party, this is all I can currently think about” avocado toast. Confession: I don’t like calling this “toast”. It sounds mundane when this easy-to-make healthy breakfast (or snack, not gonna judge) is far from dull. I’ll have…

Slavery Still Exists | Human Trafficking Awareness Month

Years ago when I started my journey learning about social justice I thought slavery was eradicated and long behind us. My goodness was I in for a wakeup call. While slavery isn’t the same as it was prior to the Thirteenth Amendment, it does still have a presence on this earth, today. Throughout the month of January I will be sharing information I have learned over the years, organizations fighting to see the end, and tips for how we can contribute to the eradication of human trafficking. This topic is far from easy to talk about, but I encourage you to push past the discomfort to learn about this polarizing issue.
