Slavery Still Exists | Human Trafficking Awareness Month

Years ago when I started my journey learning about social justice I thought slavery was eradicated and long behind us. My goodness was I in for a wakeup call. While slavery isn’t the same as it was prior to the Thirteenth Amendment, it does still have a presence on this earth, today. Throughout the month of January I will be sharing information I have learned over the years, organizations fighting to see the end, and tips for how we can contribute to the eradication of human trafficking. This topic is far from easy to talk about, but I encourage you to push past the discomfort to learn about this polarizing issue.
